Joseph Stepp, Esq
Joseph Stepp, Esq, is a licensed attorney in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Previously, he was with one of the nation’s leading Social Security Disability advocacy groups, where he zealously defended claims his clients in dealings with the federal government. Additionally, Joseph challenged federal doctrines and statutes when they violated our notions of fairness. He applies the same principle in dealing with large insurance companies, always advancing his client’s cause.
He excels at reading contract language, negotiating terms of contracts, managing claims, and identifying changes in law and how those changes affect his clients.
He, and the LicataRisk firm, realize that contracts, and the law in general, are a huge part of risk and insurance management. Whether it is dissecting a 200 page insurance policy, reviewing the risk and insurance aspects of a lease, or helping one of our clients transfer risk to another party, indeed the party who should in fact be responsible, Joseph’s legal skills are extremely important. Other consultants in the firm are constantly calling on him for a legal interpretation, and on a regular basis he speaks on legal matters as they affect risk at our monthly team meetings and workshops.
We do not practice law at the firm, but rather we interact with our clients’ attorneys continuously, helping them with the intersection between corporate law and the law of risk and insurance.
Joseph graduated from Liberty University School of Law in May 2012 and Liberty University in May 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in American Government with specializations in Pre-Law and Politics and Policy.
