Karen has over 11 years of insurance and risk management experience. She has been a senior account manager at one of the country’s largest insurance brokerage firms, but her deepest experience is in the risk management field, having served nine years in that profession. She is a licensed insurance advisor and enjoys assisting business owners and their CFOs in managing their exposure to loss, developing risk control and insurance programs.
Karen works with her clients in all the areas of risk and insurance that the firm practices in. At any given day she may be deeply involved in any one of the following activities:
Learning about the client’s organization, its assets, operations, finances and exposures to loss. Quantifying loss, so as to focus on the severe loss potential, and not simply trade dollars with insurance companies.
Identifying areas where losses can be prevented and developing safety, security and other loss prevention programs.
Working with clients to identify areas where other parties can indemnify the client in the event of loss, or areas where our client can limit its liability via the agreement, in general helping her clients to be street-smart in contractual matters.
Finance Loss/Negotiate Insurance
Designing an insurance program that addresses her clients’ risks, but excludes unnecessary coverages that inflate their premiums.
Evaluation of insurance agent or broker services
Insurance claim negotiation
Ongoing risk management consultation
Karen is a graduate of the Suffolk University, with a degree in Business Administration.
